Reut Akerman is a self-taught Israeli artist based in the Boston area, creating calming, nature-inspired collage artworks.

Her work is composed of original hand-cut paper collages, crafted from traditional Japanese Chiyogami papers. Each piece is built from dozens of carefully selected layers, forming a rich interplay of color, texture, and pattern.

After moving to Boston over eight years ago, Reut was exposed to a wide range of cultures, artistic traditions, and ways of seeing the world. This experience deeply influenced her creative process and led to the development of her unique collage technique — one that blends traditional materials with a contemporary, intuitive approach.

Rooted in visual languages of nature, balance, and harmony, her work is created with intention. Through layered forms and gentle movement, each piece is designed to evoke a sense of calm, hope, and quiet strength.

Her artworks invite a moment of pause — helping create spaces that feel calm, supportive, and quietly restorative.
